Sara is the Executive Director of the American Ground Water Trust and also a Hydrogeologist. She has been working in the water resources and environmental field in New Mexico since the early 2000s. As a consulting scientist, she worked on projects from methane monitoring and reporting to hydrogeologic investigations and well design. In 2009, Sara left her regulartory role with the State and stared working with Bernalillo County. In this position, she worked with hundreds of residents monitoring water levels and promoting outreach and education. At the New Mexico Bureau of Geology, she took this model to work on a State-Wide Groundwater Level Monitoring Network. Sara facilitates educational outreach for watershed health with the local school district and provides water resource consulting in New Mexico. She has a B.S. in Geology from New Mexico Tech and a M.S. in Water Resources from the University of New Mexico.

Cheryl joined the American Ground Water Trust in 2015 as a part-time Bookkeeper. Over the years she assumed additional responsibilities of scheduling, managing and promoting the programs. As the Director of Business & Finance, she is active in both short-term and long-term program and financial planning and day-to-day business decisions regarding management of the Trust. Cheryl has over 30 years of experience in bookkeeping and administrative responsibilities in several industries, including legal, telecommunications, property management, software development, organization development and non-profit. She earned her MBA from Plymouth State University and B.S. in Business Administration with a minor in Accounting from Southern University of New Hampshire (formerly New Hampshire College).

Andrew Stone graduated with a degree in hydrogeology from University College London and has accumulated over 35 years of experience in groundwater, both in Africa and the United States. During this time, he has worked as a professor, consultant, and advocate for groundwater education. Between 1990 and 2003, Andrew taught an annual course at Antioch New England University on Groundwater Protection Policy. As a result of his efforts to promote groundwater resource education in the United States, he was awarded the prestigious National Ground Water Association “Oliver Award” in 1998 for his outstanding contributions.
