Hydrogeology Field Trip in the Treasure Valley led by Alexis Clark, PGL and Dr. Virginia Gillerman with the Idaho Geological Survey
This field trip highlights diverse hydrogeologic aspects in the Boise, Idaho vicinity. This area in the upper Treasure Valley hosts a unique geologic, hydrogeologic, and cultural history that has shaped ways that surface water and groundwater resources are used today. The tour will feature scenic overlooks of the valley, up-close views and commentary on sedimentary and volcanic unit outcrops, the Boise River, irrigation supply canals, and the Oregon Trail! We recommend wearing outdoor layers and shoes for easy, short excursions.
Following the field trip attendees will enjoy a 3-course dinner highlighting the flavors of Idaho and beer pairing at 10 Barrel Brewing Co.
